Harriet Bishop Marketing & Design usually provides Bedrock Health with Marketing Support solutions. However, when Bedrock approached us to help them create an explanation video for their new product, Nucleus, we couldn’t have been more eager to help!Explanation videos are a great tool to include on your website whether it explains a product, a service or even about you! Videos ensure visitors understand the benefits and what your product does, in a fun and engaging way and in less than 60 seconds! Saves them reading all that text!Our video team worked with Nucleus to design and create a short (120 second) video that would describe Nucleus and its benefits to potential customers. 1. What services did you use from Harriet Bishop Marketing & Design?

Harri assisted Litmus in the design elements of our preparation to attend the Independent Schools Bursars Association annual conference 2012.

The strapline for our attendance was Driving performance improvement of catering and housekeeping services and revolved around a racing theme where delegates were invited to take part in a competition to see who could put in the fastest lap on a driving simulation game.

Our shell scheme was fully graphic clad, and Harri designed the stand panelling (which really supported bringing the theme to life) and also liaised with the exhibition services provider on our behalf.The leader board feature (styled on a well-known car enthusiasts TV programme!) on the stand ensured a keen competitive spirit amongst the delegates attending, and was an extremely successful stand attractor.

Harri also designed the digital brochure we took to conference to promote our services.

2. What made you choose Harriet Bishop Marketing & Design over other design agencies?

This is the second year I have worked with Harri on this particular conference, as well as on other design and print management projects in that time.

3. What benefits has your business seen since using Harriet Bishop Marketing & Design?

Harri always takes the pain away from the design process, taking my often less than articulate thoughts and ideas and turning them into reality~ and has been very patient and accomodating with the myriad of design revision requests that I send her way.

4. How would you describe your experience in 3 words?

In three words ~ cool, calm and collected!

Litmus Partnership – Promotional Brochure Design

Along side the stand graphics we produced for The Litmus Partnership for the ISBA 2012 Conference this week we also designed and produced a promotional brochure.

The Brief…

The brochure was created specifically for the ISBA event and needed to be kept inline with the stand design, incorporating the graphics and “racer” image of the stand.

Copy was provided but the rest was up to us!

The Result…

We designed and printed an 8 page, square, booklet using the stand background as a wraparound front cover.

Driving Performance Improvement

ISBA Stand Graphics for Epsys and The Litmus Partnership

This week our clients, The Litmus Partnership and Epsys Limited, showed off their shiny new stand graphics at the ISBA Conference in Glasgow, Scotland.Harriet Bishop Marketing and Design provided graphic design services to both companies who needed large format graphics designed for the backdrop of their stands.Although the event was the same the briefs we very different…

Epsys Brief…

Epsys required stand graphics for 3 x 2.5 metre stand using their new branding as the main theme. The display needed to showcase their logo, the vibrant spots from their branding and a number of messages and statistics to communicate their sales message.

The Litmus Partnership Brief…

Litmus requested a “racing” theme. The main focal point of the backdrop was a race track photograph swirling off into the distance. Around this they required strap lines, logos and a “Top Gear” style leader board.

The Outcome…

Although both designs were very different they both made a huge impact at the event and have both had very positive feedback.

Don’t listen to the old saying “you should never judge a book by it’s cover” because no one else does!

3. Content

You need to ensure the content available on your website is of quality and relevance to your business. Google will use your content, grade its relevancy and dismiss duplicated articles. Your content is what will get you found in search engines therefore it is important that you research your key search terms and write valuable text. QR Codes – What are they All About?

QR codes are those funny squares that are made up of lots of little black on white squares. And, if you haven’t noticed already, they are everywhere now!

But what are they and how do they work?

QR codes can be read using your mobile device and a cleaver little app called a QR Code Reader.

The app reads the code using the camera software on your mobile device. The code contains a web link to whatever you want; most brands use this for promotions, events, product information and so on. Once the reader has recognised the code, you mobile device will then automatically open up the link on your web browser and hey presto!

Where can I use a QR Code?

Where ever you like! Many brands now use them on adverts in magazines, newspapers and other publications, you may also find them on packaging or even on your kitchen equipment.

The beauty of QR codes is that they can take the reader to whatever information they like at the click of a button.

“I have even found one on my juicer at home – it takes me to their site where you can find out more about how to use the juicer and recipes you can try!” says Harriet Bishop, our Director.
