Website Re-design: A Step Forward, Not Backward!

Child Matters came to us first back in 2011 as a low budget, start up business.  Today only 18 months down the line, they are now a very successful training business working nationally across the UK.

Back in 2011, Claire (Founder of Child Matters Ltd) wanted a simple site that reflected a ‘child-like’ personality, it needed to be simple, yet have all the details of her training courses and a simple contact form.

Today, Claire has realised her company has now matured, and without loosing the foundations of her brand needed her website to grow with the company too.

We helped claire with a simple redesign of the websites face, layout and also developed the SEO behind the site, helping her to reach a wider audience and stay ahead of her competition.

The Brief: Complete Small Business Brand Design

Helen Moss approached us back in December 2012 to provide her with a brand design solution.

Helen Moss wanted to create a fresh, childlike and bright corporate image.  She wanted her design to be bold and modern and a primary colour scheme to reflect her working with children.

A need for Web Design:

Helen Moss got in touch with Harriet Bishop Marketing & Design back in December 2012.  Helen was starting a new journey as an independent educational psychologist and had been previously advised that she would need a website to promote her professional services.

She needed something simple, professional and of a childish design to illustrate her work with children.  She also needed to be able to update the website her self, but had no previous HTML experience.

Helen also requested that we helped with brand design: a logo and business cards.

The Solution:

We advised Helen Moss on the use of the WordPress CMS – a tool that could easily be used by anyone (with a little training) in order to update their site and provided them with a simple website starter package which included:

• Design of the website using a WordPress theme which we then customised
• Basic SEO to give them a head start
• A free 30 min tutorial on how to use WordPress

The Brief – Website Design!

The brief was simple – EARN Media needed help with a new website design, they wanted: clean, chic, simple, and ultra modern!

Jamal, founder of EARN Media, came to us with a clear simple brief of what he had visioned his website to look like, the content he wanted to include and how he wanted the navigation to work.  A web designers dream!

The Solution

As Jamal was keen to be able to update the site himself to begin with we chose to use WordPress as the CMS platform due to its user friendly interface and intuitive layout. On top of the CMS we built a custom theme design inline with that of the original brief.
